It's Color Challenge Day!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

...in July!!! That's right, at the InStyle Stamps Blog the DT is celebrating the holidays all month long. Since today is the 2nd Satruday of July InStyle Stamps is having its monthly Color Challenge. To see the color inspiration, which is a gorgeous piece of wrapping paper, head on over to the blog.

As for my card, I was inspired by the greens and pinks in the inspirational swatch, so those were the colors I went with. I also decided to make my card Christmas-y and use the, soon to be released, image called Roddrick which will be available for purchase in the store by July 16th, right around the corner!!! He is such a cute lil guy!

Enjoy!!!

Hi there,

My post is a little late, and I want to apologize for that. I kept telling myself I was going to do it during this time and that time just kept getting taken by all the meetings for the wedding that I had and with my new internship, so I finally managed to put it together last night and get a pic today and post it. So apologize for being late again.
This past Wednesday was Over the Hump Day so InStyle Stamps. This month the theme is Graduation, since it is that time of year. For my card I used Jessica, who is all dressed up in her gaduation gown and looking all cute!! I was inspired by a card that I saw at Pickled Paper Designs, Amy does some amazing work and is always inspiring me!!! Thanks Amy!!
Check it out, here is what I came up with!

Big News!!!

Hi there!!,

Are you all ready for my big announcement?!!!...hmm, I'm wondering if I should leave you guys in suspense! Maybe just show you my card and have you guys guessing for a lil while and then come back with the big news and some pictures. Then again I think my card is a real tip off to what my big announcement is!! Plus I think I have made you wait enough since yesterday made three weeks when my big news happend and I guess I left you all in suspense with yesterdays post...

Ok, ok here is my card. My little announcement is just perfect for this InStyle Stamps image, I've been meaning to do this but I got a little overwhelmed with planning things and what not. So for my card I used Chloe and her Prince, such a cute image and so appropriate for todays announcement!! Do you think you know what it is?!!!

Check Chloe and her Prince out!!!

Photobucket

Yup you probably guessed correctly, I'M ENGAGED!!!! It's so exciting!!!! Lets just say it was no surprise that it was coming soon, given the fact that Daniel and I have been together for a good year and a half and we totally knew we were made for each other, it was only time that he would pop the question. Lets just say Daniel's family and my family go way back and I have been in love with him as far as I can remember (a little story here) so it's only perfect that some how fate brought us together!!! When was always the question! I definitely didn't expect it to be the night of my graduation. My graduation ceremony started at 8:30am and then after my ceremony and lunch with family, Daniel and I headed out on a late trip to Petaluma, for a picnic of oyesters and just some celebration time. I honestly didn't expect anything we had gone to Petaluma several times. We purchased oyesters and headed out to Tamales Bay State Park (some pics from my birthday last year), we had an hour to picnic and enjoy our time before the park closed. While we were there, there was only one other person there so we had the park to ourselves. We enjoyed every moment, munching on delicious oyesters, french bread and strawberries. lol not quite a meal but a delicious picnic!!! So while we were there the whole time Daniel kept saying that we should get a pic while the sun was setting, I was in no hurry, I didn't think the sun was going to disappear so quickly. I set up my tripod and I used my remote to take our picture, as the picture was being taking, Daniel got on one knee and proposed to me. Lets just say I was in shock!!! Of course I said yes but you can totally see in the picture that I was in shock. Now for the picture, well since I waited to long for the sun to set the picture is rather dark and I need to do some serious editing to it, but I have other pics.

Here are two pics. The first is the view that we had and the second is my sample take of where we were going to be standing when we took our picture and he just happend to propose. We stood right infront of that bench which looked over the bay. Beautiful sight!!! It couldn't have been any perfecter!!!
Photobucket

Photobucket

This picture here was taken a week after our engagment. I was actually doing an engagment session with my brother and his now wife, and I had to get our first pic as being engaged!!
Photobucket

This pic is from last Saturday the 5th. We were at my brothers wedding so I we took the opportunity to take a pic while we were both dressed up!!
Photobucket

Alright so there is my big announcement...Oh and you ask if I have set the date?? Yes it's for May 28, 2011. Hehe, I'm on top of it, we have the chuch, and the reception booked, the band is almost booked and we have a meeting with our Photographer on Tuesday. As for my dress I'm still looking, I actually looked yesterday and I found one that I liked, I still have yet to find the one I love but I definitely had fun with yesterdays dress, it was Flamenco style, it was supper cute but maybe a lil over the top for a wedding, I don't know we will see what happens. Oh and you ask the colors...the card tells you all and if you know me you know that my favorite colors are purple and green and I'm thinking silver or champagne. So there it is, I think! If you have any question or maybe you have a tip to help me with my dark picture let me know ;-)!!

InStyle Stamps May Color Challenge

Hey there,

Sorry for the short post but I'm at my graduation!! This is the InStyle stamps color challenge.

Edited to Add:

Sorry about my very short post, I started my card Friday evening and I had it all put together minus the coloring and then I went to my roomates graduation at 6pm and then we did dinner and I got home at 11pm and I knew I needed to finish my card but I also knew that I needed to get to bed to get up early enough for my graduation. I had to get up at 6:30am to get ready for my 8:30am graduation. I am the worst morning person ever, I don't get up for anything so going to bed was essential. I did do a little coloring and then this morning I finished coloring, took the picture (which I must appologize needs to be retaken) and I made this short post. Needless to say I was supposed to be at Arco Arena for graduation at 7:45am and I was a little late but no big deal, I still graduated!! So on to my post!

Today is the InStyle Stamps Saturday Color Challenge. Our inspiration for todays color challenge is this gorgeous photo:

I looked at this photo and immidiatly noticed the blues and oranges and then the 5-Petal flowers so I went with it.

Enjoy!!!

Be back later to finish my post.

Head on over to the InStyle Stamps blog to check out what the other DT members created using this weeks inspiration!!

A lil Spring Cleaning

Hi there,

It's a beautiful Saturday here in Cali and my card seems to reflect what I have been doing these past days. Cleaning, that's right I have been cleaning and gardening and everything that has to do with spring. Although tedious, it's always nice to get it done. After cleaning the house yesterday, I managed to get some gardening in, it was a lot of fun, I love gardening but I think I may have pushed myself a little to much as I went to bed exhausted and I have two large blister on my hands from shoveling. No pain no gain, right?, at least the garden is beautiful and the little weeds that were beginning to pop up are all gone.

Anyway's on to todays card. As I said it reflects what I have been doing. I used the InStyle Stamps image Darla who is doing a little bit of dusting.

Enjoy!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my card today, now it's time for me to get out there and enjoy the weather, maybe wash my car and do a little more cleaning and gardening.

A girl can never have too many shoes!!!

Hey there,

It is so so true, a girl can never have to many shoes and  I am so one of those girls who loves shoes, can't get enough of them!! I'm always buying new shoes, just recently I got this pair of Guess Heels, aren't they to die for?? I just love them, I was eying them at Macy's for the longest time and then they disappeared so I asked an employee and she told me they had three left and she just so happened to have my size. How excited was I!!! They were 30% off and then I had an extra 20% so I got a super good deal. Oh and about two weekends ago I wore them to a wedding with a blue dress and I kept getting comments left and right about my shoes, lol it was great, but it's to bad that  I don't have a picture to share with you cause my boyfriend was not in a picture taking mood, but maybe someday soon I will get dressed up again and make sure to where my shoes and then I will show ya all

Alright so on to today's card, which also has some super cute shoes on it!!! This card uses Heels, a new image from InStyles Stamps that should be available soon since the redesign is all done. So if you love these heels as much as I just stay on the look out so that you can add them to your shoe collects, cause we all know we can never have too many!!! lol

Enjoy!!!
