Ryan's 1st Birthday

Happy New Year!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year. Yeah it's 2011 and just 4 months to go for my wedding. I am so excited!!!

Today I want to share another one of my Digital Photo Greeting Cards with you all. My fiance's nephew just turned one and we had lil construction party for him and I took some pictures of him cruzin' with his favorite toy in the backyard. I put these cards together for him to thank all his family and friends for making his 1st Birthday Special.

This first card is actually the truck image that was his invitations and I just did some editing and turned it into a photo card.

Check them out, Ryan is such a cutie!!

I hope you have enjoyed today's post. If you are interested in a Photo Greeting card, let me know and I would be glad to create one for you. Have a great day!!!

InStyle Stamps May Color Challenge

Hey there,

Sorry for the short post but I'm at my graduation!! This is the InStyle stamps color challenge.

Edited to Add:

Sorry about my very short post, I started my card Friday evening and I had it all put together minus the coloring and then I went to my roomates graduation at 6pm and then we did dinner and I got home at 11pm and I knew I needed to finish my card but I also knew that I needed to get to bed to get up early enough for my graduation. I had to get up at 6:30am to get ready for my 8:30am graduation. I am the worst morning person ever, I don't get up for anything so going to bed was essential. I did do a little coloring and then this morning I finished coloring, took the picture (which I must appologize needs to be retaken) and I made this short post. Needless to say I was supposed to be at Arco Arena for graduation at 7:45am and I was a little late but no big deal, I still graduated!! So on to my post!

Today is the InStyle Stamps Saturday Color Challenge. Our inspiration for todays color challenge is this gorgeous photo:

I looked at this photo and immidiatly noticed the blues and oranges and then the 5-Petal flowers so I went with it.

Enjoy!!!

Be back later to finish my post.

Head on over to the InStyle Stamps blog to check out what the other DT members created using this weeks inspiration!!

Dorothy Masculine Birthday

Hi there,

So I totally meant to have this card up earlier...like Sunday, but life got a little busy and today I am posting it. I hope you are all doing well, and that the weather is treating you well. Here in Sacramento it's sprinkling outside, I guess I can't complain, it could be worst, but I don't really like this weather, lol it messes my hair up, ;-/.

As I believe I stated on my previous post using Dorothy, I was attempting to make my boyfriend a birthday card and I really wanted to use her. So on Thursday before leaving to go visit him I hurriedly put this card together, and I think it came out just the way I wanted!! I had gone to the local scrapbook store the evening before and bought this great paper, works for either but I thought it was rather masculine and perfect for the occasion.

My boyfriend turned 26 on Sunday, hehe, don't tell him I told you but he wans't to happy about turning the big two, six, he says he is old and I am just a baby lol, I'm 22, which is not very young but I don't think he is used to dating someone who is younger than him, even if it's only 3 years, 5 months, and 20 days, no biggy right, but it scares him lol. I actually like the fact that he is older because he is more mature and he has his ducks in a row and he agrees with me on that. Alright so here is the card I made for him!

Enjoy!!!

1st Birthday Girl

Hey there,

I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend. Today my cousin's baby girl is having her 1st Birthday Party tonight. I'm pretty excited cause I don't often get to hang out with these cousins, not sure why, as we all got older and we all started going our separate ways and getting married we stopped getting together but hopefully that will change. I know when I get married and have my house and a nice backyard you bet I'll be inviting everyone over for dinner and for the kids to play. I love hanging out with family and having everyone united, it's a good thing to do and it's a great way to raise your kids together.

So for today I want to share with you the card that I made for baby Alayiah, pronounced Uh-lie-Uh, it's from the bible, very unique and very pretty!!! I love the 1st Birthday Girl image from Mo's Digital Pencil, so I had to buy just for Alayiah's first birthday. I always wanted this sweet little image yet I never had a little girl to give it to and then when I was thinking of what to do for the card, I remembered I wanted to buy the image, so I did!!!

So here is what I came up with, Enjoy!!!
Super Sweet huh?!!

Oh and my cousin requested that we purchase a book as part of Alayiah's gift, so the other day I spent about an hour looking around in the kids books section at Barnes and Nobles. Let me just say I wanted all their books!!! I sure wish I had some nieces or nephews who I could spoil with some great books or maybe even my own kids, some day. I could not make a choice, that's for sure, there were just to many good ones that I wanted to bring home with me. I ended up purchasing a book called Bedtime Stories that had three great short stories in it, really cute, and something that Alayiah will be able to enjoy when she gets older and can read.

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your weekend!!!!

RECIPE:
Card Size: 6 1/2 x 5

Ink: Copic Markers

WoJ Celebrating Donkey

Hey there,

Here is another birthday card. This one using Whiff of Joys Celebrating Donkey. I just love these little celebrating animals, they are so cute!!!

This time I went for a more feminine card. One of my girlfriends is turning 30 so I wanted to make her a cute little card, but I'm thinking that I need to make another one because this one is not the one for her. I guess I had a different idea in my head when creating it, and it just didn't come out the way I had pictured it for her card. So I will have to give it another try before her Birthday Cocktail party in two weeks. It still came out nicely, but this one is just not for her.

Enjoy!!!!

Mojo101 - Birthday Cards

Hey there everyone,

Hurray for a roommate who is from the same hometown!!! My roommate was in Tracy visiting her family yesterday so I asked her to do me a favor and stop by my parents house to pick it up, I had no idea she went down there after work, but it worked out and now I can share my work with you all again!!! YEAHHHHHH!!!!

So it's been a while since I've played with a Mojo Monday Sketch so I figured I would give this weeks sketch a try. I saw so many great cards using this sketch that I just couldn't resist!!

I decided to go with a birthday theme because I have a few birthdays coming up in September so what better idea than to start early, right!! So here is what I came up with. I made a feminine and a masculine card, so essentially I made two Mojo Sketch Challenges, boy am I on top of it, lol ;-). It's about time huh, you wouldn't know this because I almost always have a new card posted but I haven't made cards in the past two weeks since I haven't been in Sacramento with my craft supplies. I've been out of it for a while so yesterday was really good for me, I got my mojo running and made some 8 cards, which I will post throughout the week. Enjoy!!!

One Cupcake at a Time

Hello everyone,

I hope the beginning of your week has started off on the right foot. I know mine has. Here is another card that I want to share with you. So I must share with you all that I am not very creative, well I am, but I am always inspired by sketches, color challenges, or cards made by others. There are very few times that I design my own cards without being inspired by something or someone and when I do just create a card from my imagination it's usually not one of my good ones.

So today and some of the cards that I will be sharing on my blog this week are mostly going to be CASED cards or just ideas that I've seen around. This card that I am sharing today is a card that was inspired by Maren over at Zany not Crazy, it was very cute and simple and I had to give it a try. I of course changed up the paper, ribbon, and the stamps to make it my own but I used her general layout for this card.

Take a look, Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the beginning of your week!!!!

Early Birthday Celebration

Hi Everyone,

So I mentioned that today was my birthday and that I had quite a few plans for this week. So yesterday my boyfriend and I headed down to Petaluma to enjoy the scenery and purchase some oysters to BBQ for my birthday dinner. I had a blast, it was so pretty down there and the weather was just perfect!!! We purchase the oysters in Tamales Bay and headed down to the Tamales Bay State Park to find a picnic area with a BBQ to have some lunch. It was just perfect!! Then I wanted to see the Lighthouse down there but by the time we go there it was closed and we could have walked to it but from the Park were it was some 80 degrees, the temperature to the Lighthouse dropped to a cold and misty 57 degrees, everyone there was getting out of their cars with winter jackets and pants while I was sporting my cute lil summer cloths, so we decided it would be our first destination on our next trip to Petaluma and we headed home to BBQ at home with the family. I couldn't have asked for a better day!!! So here are some pics from our day.

Entrance to the State Park

Me, the Birthday Girl, striking a pose, lol

My Boyfriend, Danny, and I (lol how I love my handy-dandy tripod, it's so great for these occasions)

I had an absolute blast, and my celebration is only getting started becuase on Thursday morning some 14-17 of us are leaving for pismo to go relax and go ride quads on the sand dunes. I'm super excited for that because it will be my first time riding on the dunes and it'll be my first time sporting my new quad and helmet that my boyfriend got me for my Birthday, I really didn't expect or ever dream of such a big gift but I'm super excited about it, you have no idea!!! I'll being posting some picture of my weekend later next week.

Enjoy everyone, and as always thanks for stopping by. Have a great rest of the week and wish me luck out in pismo on the sand dunes
