Baby Daniel's 1st Birthday Card

Hi there,

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weekend. The weather is just perfect here in California!! I love this spring weather, it's just perfect, not too cold and not too hot! Today I want to share with you all a Birthday card that I made for my cousin's 1 year old son. Today was his birthday party so I created a little card to go with his gift. I just love Mo Manning's images and I especially love her first Birthday serious, they are just perfect for the occasion.

As a side note, I added Diamond Glaze to the balloons to give them a 3-D affect and make them look like real balloons.

Enjoy!!!

Welcome, Little one

Hello there,

I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday!! Today I want to share with you all that baby card I was talking about. I seriously whipped this baby up in just a few minutes. I was inspired by this super cute baby card from Poppy Paperie so I decided to put some word art and text together and come up with the same cute little sentiment and then I put together the same layout. I managed to make two because I first put together the small card but I made the sentiment to big so it just went to the larger card and I made a new one for the smaller card. It worked out just fine. My friend, who the shower was for, really liked my card, I hope you guys do too!

Enjoy!!!

Lol, do you guys like my camera fun!! I just recently got a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens to go with my new Rebel and it does this cool stuff with near and far and the blurriness, so I had to play.

D-IC Zee Sleeping on the Moon

Hello there,

I hope you are all having a great evening!!! Today was a Furlough day for me so I didn't have class. I spent most of my day creating along with sneezing, coughing, and blowing my nose and just feeling exhausted and really not wanting to do anything at all. Yea so whatever bug I got on Saturday has decided to stay with me, I'm just glad there is no fever, and headache involve and it's just cold symptoms. Hopefully it will be passing soon.

This evening I just want to share a lil card with you. I meant to share it on Monday but Mondays D-IC challenge was a "Anything but a Card" challenge so I didn't think it was appropriate at that time to share it but this card matches this door hanger that I made for the D-IC challenge exactly.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by this evening!! Enjoy the rest of you night!!

Digital-Ink Co. Challenge (DIC007)

Hey there,

I hope your week has started off on the right foot and your weekend was filled with lots of relaxation time and family and friends!!! I had awesome weekend, and it was definitely filled with family, friends and great memories!! Today I hope you will join me in playing week seven of the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge (DIC007). This weeks Challenge is to create Anything But a Card (a gift bag, cupcake, scrap page, journal, etc).

I especially love these challenges, it gets me thinking outside of the box and thinking about other things that  I could make. For this particular project that I made, I've been meaning to make it for a while now and my boyfriend gave me a little extra push to actually make it.

Here is the story: Daniel's mom babysits her little grandson, and Daniel said he stopped by to visit and see the lil' guy since it had been a while. When he got there he noticed on the kitchen table a big piece of computer paper that read, " DON'T RING DOOR BELL, BABY SLEEPING!! Daniel said he thought that was funny but it must have been because the neighbor must come by often and ring the door bell.

So he gave me the idea to make his mom a Door Hanger that read exactly what her piece of paper read. If your wondering why  I chose blue and not a neutral baby color it's because Daniels mom has four boys herself and she has one grandson and another lil boy on the way. She was hoping for a lil girl this time but she's not on her way yet, atleast not from her oldest son.

So here is what I came up with. Enjoy!!!

I think it's just perfect and I'm sure Daniel's mom will love it!!! Ethan's crib bedding is Zebra so I thought this lil image by Sewn Together was just super cute for his lil door hanger.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day and don't forget to head over to the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge Blog and check out what inspirations the other Design Team members have for ya.

Baby's Everywhere!!

Hey there,

I hope you are all enjoying your week!!! I know I am, this week I only have my Tuesday and Thursday classes. My Wednesday and Friday classes this week are being Furloughed so we don't have class. Yup even college classes are being furloughed, how sad is that. For my Friday class on our own we are supposed to go over what would have been scheduled for the class that day, which includes going over notes, reading and teaching ourselves how to use Microsoft Access and then take an assessment to see if we learned anything. Not to hard but all the things we would have done during a 3 hour period with our instructor. I'm still excited though, it means I get a 4 day weekend, this semester I don't have classes on Monday so I always have a 3 day weekend!! Lucky me, huh?!!

For today I want to show you some baby cards. No joke, this year I know sooo many pregnant women, all due from now to March. They all decided to get pregnant all due around the same time. Must have been something in the water, ;-). And then I know several women on the blogs that I follow who have just had babies too, so it's everywhere not just around me. It must be the season, or something. But yea I have 6 family members, 5 friends, and my boyfriends sister-in-law who are all expecting. That's 12 expecting mommies I know!! I don't think I have ever known so many women expecting all at the same time. I think it's kind of cool.

So for today I have a set of baby cards to share, one for a boy and one for a girl. These cards also qualify for  the Whiff of Joy candy with a twist, which is to make Alison Acton a baby card. She is awaiting the birth of her first child, a little boy, next Friday, the 16th October.

Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day!!!

1st Birthday Girl

Hey there,

I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend. Today my cousin's baby girl is having her 1st Birthday Party tonight. I'm pretty excited cause I don't often get to hang out with these cousins, not sure why, as we all got older and we all started going our separate ways and getting married we stopped getting together but hopefully that will change. I know when I get married and have my house and a nice backyard you bet I'll be inviting everyone over for dinner and for the kids to play. I love hanging out with family and having everyone united, it's a good thing to do and it's a great way to raise your kids together.

So for today I want to share with you the card that I made for baby Alayiah, pronounced Uh-lie-Uh, it's from the bible, very unique and very pretty!!! I love the 1st Birthday Girl image from Mo's Digital Pencil, so I had to buy just for Alayiah's first birthday. I always wanted this sweet little image yet I never had a little girl to give it to and then when I was thinking of what to do for the card, I remembered I wanted to buy the image, so I did!!!

So here is what I came up with, Enjoy!!!
Super Sweet huh?!!

Oh and my cousin requested that we purchase a book as part of Alayiah's gift, so the other day I spent about an hour looking around in the kids books section at Barnes and Nobles. Let me just say I wanted all their books!!! I sure wish I had some nieces or nephews who I could spoil with some great books or maybe even my own kids, some day. I could not make a choice, that's for sure, there were just to many good ones that I wanted to bring home with me. I ended up purchasing a book called Bedtime Stories that had three great short stories in it, really cute, and something that Alayiah will be able to enjoy when she gets older and can read.

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your weekend!!!!

For a Friend

I thought I would just play with a few stamps that haven't been inked up recently and make some simple cards using Martha Stewart border punches.

This card was my first attempt and then i decided that it needed a little more details so the other cards all have the little extra that this one doesn't. All stamps are from the SU For a Friend set except the second card which is from Inkadinkado. Enjoy!!!

Recipe:

Card: 4 by 5 1/2
Stamps: SU For a Friend, Inkadinkado (...and the two became one)
Ink: Pitch Black (Adirondack), Markers (Copics)
Accessaries: Stickles, Martha Stewart Border Punches
