Digital-Ink Co. Recipe Challenge (DIC008)

Hi there,

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!!! Today is the start of a new work/school week and today marks week eight of the Digital-Ink Co. Challenge (DIC008). This weeks challenge is a recipe challenge which is to use fabric, glitter,a button/s, and a bow/s.

For my card I used Christmas Puppy by Jules Junk (D-IC). When looking at my image you may ask where my fabric is but I don't have any real fabric laying around, but if I was at home with my mom she might just have had some left over quilting fabric I could have used, but I'm at school so hopefully my ribbon will count as fabric or maybe my prima flower which is made of fabric. As for my button, it is black and it is hiding in the darkness of my prima flower and thats why you just see the embroidery floss. As for the rest of the recipe its all visible.

I hope you will take the time to play with us some time between now and Sunday, October 25th at 8 pm. When submitting your creation use the Mr. Linky on the D-IC Challenge Blog. Also when uploading to SCS please use the keyword DIC008 and don't forget that the image I used today is available in the Store plus many more!!

Enjoy!!!

Please remeber this is the last week that Digital-Ink Co. is having 50% off the entire store, so hurry on over there to make your purchases and also don't forget to signup for the newsletter, because by signing up you get a free image each month.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a great day and I hope to see your DIC008 challenge creation soon!!!

A note for you VSSOA

I've been playing in a challenge or two over at Stampin' Out Alzheimer's site!

A small donation (see link in sidebar) gets you access to this week-long virtual stamping event, which has all sorts of challenges and chances to win some fabulous prizes. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Alzheimer's Association, which is a cause dear to my heart. The association provides valuable information, education and support for Alzheimer's patients and their families, as well as funding research to find a cure for this frightening disease. Jen Tapler founded this event. Her dad has been rapidly progressing through the stages of Alzheimer's, and having watched those stages first-hand with my grandfather, my heart breaks for her and the grandfather this disease is cheating her son out of. So if you have a few dollars to spare, please particpate in this fundraiser. Not only can you win some fabulous prizes, but you can make a DIFFERENCE!

I decided to play with the Verve Sketch Challenge for a chance to win 3 New Release Verve Stamp Sets - Up, Up and Away, Dare to Be You, and Sweet on You. The Rules were to create a project using this sketch and upload to the SOA gallery with the tag "VSSOA".

I always thought it would be cool to use fun flock on an image from the Verve set "Because of you." So I thought this sketch would be the perfect opportunity to give it a try. So here it is. Enjoy!!!

Card Size: 4 x 5 1/2

Mojo82

Hey everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter weekend. I know I did except when it came to Easter Dinner at my parents house I became very sick and laid on the couch between running to the bathroom. I and some 20 other people who all attended the same 1st bday party and Easter festivities all came down with a nasty nasty flu bug. It was bad and it hit us all at different time. I've never seen anything like that but it was one nasty but and I hope none of you out there get it, it wasn't fun.

Enough about that, I decided today instead of doing some homework I would make a lil mojo so here is what I came up with. I think it is quite beautiful and exactly what I was thinking in my head, I hope you guys enjoy it as much as do.

The cala lily is popped up with pop dots in three layers to give it a little 3D look.

Recipe:
Card Size: 4 x 5 1/2
Paper: Me&My Big Ideas Fashion District Paper Pad

Herd it's your 1st Birthday

Hey everyone,

My boyfriends nephew is turning one this Saturday and he is having a Barn Yard themed Birthday Party so what better than a Barn Yard themed Birthday Card. High Hopes has some great farm images so I had to play with them. I saw this card idea on the high hopes web page and thought I would give it a try. This first image is a pic of my mountains, I thought they turned out so good I didn't want to add the rest of the images. I didn't want to cover up my pretty work, so I took a pic lol. But anyways I hope you guys enjoy my card, I think it came out very nicely.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!!!!!!!

MOJO81

Hey everyone,

I hope you guys all had a great yesterday. Mine was alright other than the fact that the weather yesterday looked great except for a little breeze so I put on a cute sleeveless top, some jeans and a pair of ankle boots and I headed out the door, and to my surprise during class it began to pour and it pretty much hasn't stopped, so I got a little wet but I guess I didn't mind to much others at school were wearing shorts and flip flops so I think I was better off.

So to my card. I should have really been writing a paper, I did brainstorm a bit, but instead I decided to make a card and leave the paper for writing today since my class was canceled and I have all day to write it. So here it is, I gave Mojo Monday a try and I used Hippity Hop Sophia again. Enjoy and I hope you guys all have a great day!!

Five more days...

...tell Christmas. Before I leave to go spend some time with my family and celebrate the holidays I decided to make some more Christams cards.

I decided to use a super cute layout from Paper Cuts by Michele Boyer and use my My Hero Stamp set by Treehouse stamps.

The little girl in the stamp reminds me alot of myself and my dad when I was little, I always liked to dance on my dads feet, I'm to big now but I still enjoy dancing with my dad.

Enjoy!!!

For this second stamp in the set I thought the boy was dressed up like the little girl, but we are just going to imagine that they are spending Christmas in Hawaii or some place warm lol.

Paper: Michaels Christmas Slab
Ink: Pitch Black (Adirondack), Markers (Copics)
Accessaries: K&Company Adhesive Gems, Silver Brads, Stampendouse Red Glitter, Stickles, Stampendous White Fun Flock, Stampendous Red Fun Flock, Nestibilities

Warm and Cozy Wishes...

For the Friday Hanna Stamps challenge over on SCS Jannette's challenge was this sketch.

I was inspired by a card I saw at Rubbah Soul called Knit happens and I thought it would work well with Fluffles.

For this first card I made Fluffles sweater with white flock...and then it got a little messy, I was trying to ink the edge of the stamped image and then it accidentally fell into the ink so then I just decided to go with it and just ink the entire image, didn't come out to bad but that wasn't the look I was going for.

For this second image I went and made Fluffles collar white so that the ribbon at the bottom would match his sweater, and he to got a lil messed up when my fingers were all inked up with red ink but that didn't bother me, so I left it.

Friday Night Stamp Night at Jillian's place was soooo much fun!!!! We had a blast!!! We all stamped, ate, and laughed all night long and we got to play with Chloe you adorable new puppy dog, she had just brought it home last night too so we all got to meet her for the first time, she was so sweet!!! But yes we had a great time and I got to use some of Jillian's stamps, and I stamped myself a bunch of images that I don't own so I'm sure when I get a chance I will share all those images with you. Thanks for a fun night Jillian!!!

Hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by, take care!!!

Some other samples and goodies

Here is presentabella again. Like the cards below she doesn't have a sentiment and can be used for anything, Birthday, Christmas, anytime you give a present, lol. She's very cute!!

A Fall Wreath using a Maple Leaf Punch. Very easy and it makes a nice card.

This is my Bullfighter Card. This one happens to be a Birthday card which I made for my dad. The colors used were mostly green, red and yellow and they flag on the bull happens to be the Portuguese flag, thats cause I'm Portuguese, and yes I do watch bullfights and thats why I love this card and this stamp. The bullfighters cape is fuzzy and soft because I put flock on it as an embellishment. For this card the flock didn;t come out so well and that is way there is a blue bullfighter and his cape came out more evenly.

Some wedding stamps that I bought and I have some idea's but I have to get some time to put them on paper.

Some sentiments that I purchased to use on the cards.

So excited to use these. I've been seeing some great examples that use buttons and flower so I had to purchase some to make my own pretty samples. Can't wait!!!
