InStyle Stamps Monthly Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed you Easter Sunday!!! I had a wonderful time hanging out with family and friends, mostly hanging out inside because the weather was nasty and rainy but it was still a great Easter despite the weather!!

I promised you all I would be back today with my InStyle Stamps Sketch Challenge card, so here I am to share it with you. As I said in last Saturdays post I made the wrong card and left town for the weekend so I was unable to make the correct card. I would have had the card done earlier but today I came down with a nasty cold and I have been dragging my feet all day, I didn't even go to my night class, EKK, I never miss school, not even for a nasty cold. I didn't want to share my germs with my group, even though we had a project to work on today, I felt bad but I don't want them getting sick too.

Alright so on to my card if you need to check out the sketch for this challenge go to this post otherwise here is my card.

Enjoy!!

Love U

Hi there,

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I know I am as this is my last weekend of vacation and tomorrow I start back at school. For my FINAL SEMESTER, yeah!!, about time but I still don't graduate with what I want. I want to be a nurse but all the schools are so inpacted that I haven't been accepted yet and I have tried three times. So after this semester I will graduate with a Bachelors in Public Health with a Concentration in Community Health Education. It goes along with my wanting to be a nurse and it is kind of the back door into getting into the program. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get in for this coming Fall, cause if I don't Im not sure what I will do with myself.

Well on to my card. This was another one of the cards that I created earlier this week and it just so happened to go perfectly with the challenge at Humble Pie Stamps this week. The theme? LOVE! Use RED, PINK and WHITE, and you MUST include hearts somewhere on your creations! So sure enough my card has all the requirements. The hearts aren't very obvious but they are definitly there. There is a heart around "14" with stickles but you can barly see it in this photo.

Enjoy!!!

ISS Valentine Cupcakes

Happy Friday!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful week. Despite the passing of my grandfather on Sunday, I can say that my week went well. This week was a very productive card making week, which excites me since I'm no where near my craft zone but I managed to pack a few things which helped me make lots of cards this week. So on to my card!!

I decided to play along with this weeks InStyle Stamps Wednesday Challenge which was to make a card or project that incorporates a "SWEETS" theme! Can be anything- cupcakes, candy- you name it, as long as it screams SWEETS! I decided to use Cupcakes by InStyle Stamps as my "Sweets" image. I also used the Skipping Stones Design Tuesday Sketch Challenge (SSD07) and was inspired by Amy Sheffer's take on this sketch and decided to CAS it. She always does such great work and she is always inspiring me. Thanks Amy!!!

Enjoy!!!

ISS Method Monday - Embossing Digi Images

Happy Holidays!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful time of the year!! I have a little tutorial for you all today. If you have been over to the InStyle Stamps blog you have already seen this post. I was the host for Method Monday and I thought I would do a tutorial on embossing with digital images.

For the longest time I thought I could only emboss with stamps because I had the ink pad but then I discovered the VersaMarker which you can use to emboss. So that is what my tutorial from yesterdays Method Monday over at InStyle Stamps was all about.

Check it out and Enjoy!!!

Embossing with Digital Images

Supplies: VersaMarker, Embossing Powder, Embossing Heat Tool and an image of your choice

I decided that I wanted to emboss Kimi's wings.

1. Use your VersaMarker and outline the area that you want to emboss.

2. After outlining with your VersaMarker, pour a generous amount of Embossing Powder over the area that was outlined.

3. After added the Embossing Powder, shake the excess amount off and clean any that may not be in the location that you want it.

4. After shaking off the excess powder, heat the area with the embossing powder. You will notice as you are heating that the powder with kind of melt, at that point you want to stop heating, to avoid over heating.

How simple is that, and it's always such a great touch!!

Recipe:
Card Size: 5 1/2x 4
Stamps: Kimi by InStyle Stamps, Hero Arts Holiday Cheer Messages sentiment
Paper: DCWV Holiday Stack
Ink: Copic Markers
Accessories: Provo Craft Cuttlebug, Nestibilities, Ribbon, Button, Embroidery Floss, Martha Stewart Scallop Dot Border Punch, SU Large Oval Punch, SU Round Tab Punch, Gold Rhinestones (Michaels)

I hope you enjoyed my simple tutorial!!! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!
