VLVSep01, VLVSep02, VLVSep03 A Little Late!!

Hey there,

I hope you are all having a great start to your week!! I know I'm not quite excited for this weekend, this week marks the beginning of midterms, so I will be studying very hard for exams, so if I am not around you know why.

I know these sketches are from last months Verve Challenges but I wanted to share them with you. You may have already seen them on SCS cause I posted them there during the Challenge time frame, but  I didn't get a chance to share them with you on my blog. So here they are.

This first card was made using this sketch, VLVSep01 and the twist for the challenge was to use little round things. For my little round things I used clear Dew Drops that I colored purple with my color markers. Did you know you could do that? Yup, and it works pretty well!

Check it out, here is VLVSep01. Enjoy!!!

Next I have VLVSep02 which was a "challenge for you to go TINY! Just make a card, or set of cards, that are SMALLER than the normal 4.25 x 5.5. You can make a 3x3 card, a scrapling, a 4x4, whateva! Just not the normal." So I had a tiny card using my Nestibilites and I combined this challenge with SEP09E, to the left, which was to Bring on the Bling, so I used stick to Bling up my card.

Here it is, Enjoy!!!

Lastly I made challenge VLVSep03. This challenge was to use this sketch, to the left, and the {Twist} was GIRLFRIENDS! "Make a card for a special lady in your life...be it your mom, grandma, BFF, or whoever!"

I combined the VLVSep03 challenge with the SEP09B Challenge
which was  color challenge, to left, to use Deep Purple, Olive, Rusty Orange and Teal. What a great color combo, if I must say!! These color I would have never thought to put together. They are just perfect together and so fall and autumn like. I love this color combo.

Check it out, isn't it just gorgeous!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!!

1st Birthday Girl

Hey there,

I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend. Today my cousin's baby girl is having her 1st Birthday Party tonight. I'm pretty excited cause I don't often get to hang out with these cousins, not sure why, as we all got older and we all started going our separate ways and getting married we stopped getting together but hopefully that will change. I know when I get married and have my house and a nice backyard you bet I'll be inviting everyone over for dinner and for the kids to play. I love hanging out with family and having everyone united, it's a good thing to do and it's a great way to raise your kids together.

So for today I want to share with you the card that I made for baby Alayiah, pronounced Uh-lie-Uh, it's from the bible, very unique and very pretty!!! I love the 1st Birthday Girl image from Mo's Digital Pencil, so I had to buy just for Alayiah's first birthday. I always wanted this sweet little image yet I never had a little girl to give it to and then when I was thinking of what to do for the card, I remembered I wanted to buy the image, so I did!!!

So here is what I came up with, Enjoy!!!
Super Sweet huh?!!

Oh and my cousin requested that we purchase a book as part of Alayiah's gift, so the other day I spent about an hour looking around in the kids books section at Barnes and Nobles. Let me just say I wanted all their books!!! I sure wish I had some nieces or nephews who I could spoil with some great books or maybe even my own kids, some day. I could not make a choice, that's for sure, there were just to many good ones that I wanted to bring home with me. I ended up purchasing a book called Bedtime Stories that had three great short stories in it, really cute, and something that Alayiah will be able to enjoy when she gets older and can read.

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your weekend!!!!

Ink: Copic Markers

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the InStyle Stamps Blog Hop. This is my first time ever participating in a blog hop so I am super excited!!! InStyle Stamps has some awesome new images to share with you all. In order to see all of the new images you must visit each Design Team Members blog and leave comments on each of our blogs and at the end of the hop go to the InStyle Stamps Blog to vote on your favorite project, and then leave a comment on that post (not mine) answering the following question:

"What is your favorite fall treat?"

The design team member whose project gets the most votes will get a prize, and InStyle Stamps will also be giving away a Grand Prize to 1 lucky reader (winner will be randomly drawn from the comments on the ISS blog post).
The contest is open until 11:59pm EST Saturday, and the winners will be announced Sunday.

This months theme is Treats and the new image that I am introducing to you is Tea Society Cynthia. Isn't she cute!!! The little saying that I made up when creating with her was "Trick-or-Tea-Treats" and to go with that I made little tea bag holders so that I could give tea away as treats.

Take a look and Enjoy!!!!

All of my projects together.
