Changito SFYTT

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your week so far. I have one more card to share with you from my quick fix the other day.

I decided to play along with Jen's SFYTT. Here is the sketch.

Super cute huh! She always has awesome sketches and awesome cards to go with her sketches. So I was inspired by her creation and did a little of the same.

As I said for some reason my summery stamps were the ones that came out for my quick fix, so I decided to use Changito Pool guy to make a fun summery card. I decided to hand write the "splish splash" sentiment because, I do have an actaul stamp that says "splish splash" but it is a Studio G clear stamp and when I ink it, it doesn't come out looking good, it's from the same set as the "Summer fun" sentiment used on this bella card and it too didn't come out like it should have, I had to go over it with a pen. Does anyone have any advice as to how to make clear acrylic stamps work better? Please let me know.

Alright here is the card, Enjoy!!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!!

SFYTT & Color Throwdown # 43

Hey everyone,

I hope you guys are had a great weekend. I know I am, I'm back home visiting with my family for a little bit. I attended a bullfight last night, so when I get some extra time I'll post some pics. Yes, I said BULLFIGHT, they exist in California, they are completely bloodless and it's part of a Portuguese cultural festival that happens in different cities every weekend until around October. We celebrate the Holy Ghost and different saints such as St. Anthony, Our Lady of Fatima, and our Lady of Miracles. And to top the weekend celebrations off we have a bullfight on the following Monday. It's a lot of fun. The whole reason behind the celebration has to do with free food and feeding the poor or who ever wants to eat.

But yes, back to my card. So I decided to do two different challenges. An SFYTT sketch and a Color Throwdown color challenge. So this weeks color challenge are some of my favorite colors together, so I had to play along. I absolutely love the colors green and purple together. Im thinking that some day those color will be the main colors of a main event, but I still have a few years to plan all that out, ;-).

For the Color Throwdown Challenge you are to use these colors (or whatever you have that is close) to create a card or project. Upload it to your blog and/or online gallery (please use keyword CTD43).

Then I used this weeks SFYTT sketch challenge which I thought was just great because Jen added something a little different to her sketch so I used her idea of using punched edges on a card. So I gave it a try and it adds a beautiful touch to your cards. Here is the sketch.

What does the checkered panel mean? In a nutshell…do something different here. What you want to define as “different” is up to you. Use SFYTT as the Keyword when uploading to SCS or PCP.

Here is my card. It came out very elegant, I just love the colors...I love everything about this card, I love the Because of you stamp set, I love the touch of Pearls, I love the color combo, and I love the whole border thing and Martha's arch lattice punch, its one of my favorites.

Ok, ok, enough of what I love here is the card. Enjoy!!!!

So here is the sketch, cute and simple as usual. Jen always has great sketches, just can't get enough of them, and let's not forget her awesome work, I just love everything she makes. She is so inspirational!!!
