AMYRS52 SWAK

So last night instead of catching up on some reading I decided that I would work on a Valentine's Day card for my boyfriend. I was inspired by a card made be Amy at Prairie Paper & Ink which also went with her sketch: AMYRS52.

It took quit a while to put this card together but it turned out real well and I think it's just the right one to send to him, Im super excited, it's just tooooo cute!!!! There is one thing that bothers me a bit and thats the upper right hand corner where there is a big white area, I'm debating weather I should leave it or if I should put a sentiment there. What do you think, should I leave it as is or add a sentiment????

Here it is, enjoy!!!!

Recipe:
Card: 5 by 6 1/2
Stamps: Paper Pretties Sealed with a kiss

Mojo Monday Week 71

So I had some extra time before class and I told myself that I needed to work on my Mojo. My resolution was to try to do every Mojo Monday possible, so today with my extra time I decided to make this weeks sketch. Now that I'm back from class I'm going to attempt to work on 70 and 69 since i didn't do them when I was supposed to so stay tuned to see the last two weeks of mojo sketches.

Here is this weeks Mojo71Sketch and the card that I made with the sketch. It's a little something for Valentines Day using manly colors. Enjoy!!!!

Recipe:
Card: 5 1/2 by 5 1/2
Stamps: Paper Pretties Sealed with a Kiss
Paper: Making Memories Funky Vintage 6x6 Ruby Collection
Ink: Pitch Black (Adirondack), Markers (Copics)
Accessaries: Rhinestone Stickers (diamonds, Michaels), K&Company Adhesive Gems, Brown Gross Grain Ribbon, Paper Peircer

To play along, just make a project using the provided sketch. Upload it to your blog or online gallery and leave a link using the Mr. Linky form on this blog, so we can come check out your creation.

There is no time limit - you can always play any week at any time, but they will close Mr. Linky on Sunday night at 8:00pm. That way there's no confusion which Mr. Linky is the current one.

Mr. Linky Note: Please link directly to the blog post or gallery page where we can view/comment on your creation and not just the generic link to your blog. To get the full url, click the title of your blog post (which will load a page that has just that post on it), then copy and paste the URL into the Mr. Linky form.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!!!

Stamping in Your Jammies Challenge #2

Here is my card for the second challenge over at the Paper Pretties Stamping In Your Jammies party!

Charmaine challenged us to make a card with NO CIRCLES...it took more than the hour given to make my first card so I cheated and I used a card that I had already made, but I edited it...I didn't remake it to have NO CIRCLES but I digitally edited it to fit the challenge. Click Here for the original card that I first made back in May.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Don't forget to stop by Paper Pretties...there is a big 75% off sale!!! Head on over!!!

Stamping in Your Jammies Challenge #1

So tonight I joined in the fun at Paper Pretties Pajama party. It was supper fun and definitely challenging. I usually stand back in the shadows and just listen to what everyone is chatting about and look at the pretty things they make but this time I decided to participate. Definitely a good idea!!!The first challenge of the night issued by Charmaine was to make a gatefold card. It looked easy and maybe quick. I got my idea together and started and it got hard and then I ran out of glue, yikes, and then my paper wasn't fitting just right and then I lol decided to cut it so on the right panel you can see it's a little messed up but it was just a little fun project and next time I'll know what to do and make it better, right, a good lesson learned and a fun challenge done. Yeahh!!!

I'll post the next challenges later.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed!!

Latest Cards

Just got the Sealed with a Kiss stamp set by Paper Pretties, absolutely love it!!!! It is the perfect stamp for valentines day, anniversary's, or just to show your other half that you love them. It's so cute!!! It comes with several other stamps and sayings which i will have to use soon. Can't wait to play with it some more. This first card is almost the exact replica of the card that Jillian Winters, a paper pretties designer, made and I just love her ideas so much that I had to make it. The second card is also a copy other than the fact that i changed the color and a few other things. It is by Joanna Basille who is also a paper pretties designer. The third card is a dry embossed card. I wish I could come up with some other ways to play with it but I'm sure i will soon find those ways with the help of Jillian who has such great ideas and who I purchase the embossing plate from. She's a wonderful instructure, I couldn't ask for anyone better!!!!
